This is his story.
He’s a UX designer with 4 years of experience, previously worked as a web designer and front end developer. Although he has no kids, Sanne and his girlfriend share a dog. Sanne keeps himself busy by participating in many activities: from cooking & running, to firefighting! In his own words: “mental work by day, strike a balance by stimulating other senses after hours”.
During a regular day you can find Sanne working from either our Antwerp or Ghent office. He’s usually busy attending client meetings and working on multiple projects at the same time.
Interestingly enough, one of the most rewarding things about his job is that he gets to meet and work with different clients in different industries. This context switching makes the job more challenging, interesting, and less repetitive. As a UX designer, his role is heavy on client-facing activities such as doing demos, workshops & prototypes, which is one of his favourite things to do.
We asked Sanne about his future career plans. At the moment, Sanne is quite happy with his current role and expects to continue working in the industry for the foreseeable future. He keeps himself up-to-date by attending different workshops throughout Europe. He also said he wouldn’t trade jobs with anybody else at Wunderkraut. That’s commitment.

We next asked Sanne what was one of his biggest achievements to date, either personal or professional, and he’s most proud of becoming a volunteer firefighter. Although he officially joined the volunteer firefighting squad in February 2017, his journey started back in December 2015. It has taken him years to prepare himself and the training still continues. At the moment, he hasn’t received any emergency calls, but he’s ready to come and help out right away.
Besides volunteering his time as a firefighter, Sanne keeps himself busy with other activities such as cooking, running, playing and training his dog Mokka, and renovating his house (for the last 4 years).
His cooking hobby has actually taken a step forward and he has provided catering to some family events. We do hope Sanne continues to experiment in his kitchen and hopefully one day, we’ll be lucky enough to eat his food!
- Sanne is a coffee drinker; he’ll usually enjoy 6 or more cups of this liquid black gold a day.
- His favorite prototyping tool is Bootstrap Studio
- He has catered up to 70 people
- Mokka is a mix between a boxer and Belgian shepherd
Now, enjoy a few pictures of his dog, Mokka, and his delicious food.
