New colleagues - who they are and how to befriend them

Thanks to everyone’s hard work, Wunderkraut is growing. We’ve hired some new people to help expand even further. At some point we’ve all walked the road from newcomer to experienced employee, and we know what that’s like. So here’s the experienced employee’s guide to befriending new colleagues …

You’ll find Jan Govaerts, our new Sales and Marketing Manager, near any device and always on the internet. He’s been connected since before Windows 95! Jan is looking to help us expand geographically once we team up with Appnovation. How to befriend? Mention you went to Borsbeek over the weekend and enjoyed a Robiaantje. Jan launched this 6° blond hoppy beer locally. Also inquire about his travel plans with his wife and 2 children or invite to play some tennis.

Femke-OngenaMeet Femke Ongena, our new Sales and Marketing Assistant. She joined Wunderkraut after a successful career of 10 years at a consulting firm. Femke likes photography and travelling. She’s also an avid volunteer in a psychiatric nursing home, where she helps the residents with multiple tasks ... which we find very noble. How to befriend? Take a look at her photo blog:  https://divainthedark.wordpress.com/. Possible enquiries include: “how did you get
so close to a snow leopard?” and “are you a fan of Jan Fabre?”

We also hired a new Project Manager, Dimitri Crombecq, who heard of us through his work on various Drupal projects. He has a side business as an IT consultant, photographer and provides drone services. He even rents out photo booths. How to befriend? Casually bring up the watersports aisle at Decathlon. Ask any and all questions you’ve ever thought of concerning kitesurfing or wakeboarding.

Haitham-EliasAttention gearheads and car enthusiasts – Haitham Elias, our new Managed Services Unit Manager, is one to befriend. He organizes car races with a group of like-minded enthusiasts whose goal it is to make exotic cars accessible. He’s excited about building new relationships with clients and growing the company. How to befriend? Watch old school Top Gear and brush up on your car jargon. Buy driving gloves.

For Jonas Bemindt it’s all about functionality mixed with aesthetics. He’s our new UI/UX Graphic Designer, which means he’s implementing new technology but also making it look great. He chose to work for us because we are known for our quality, our strong international presence and because he thought the people he met while applying were great. How to befriend? Enquire about his favourite games and set up a gaming session. Or possibly set up a doubles tennis match, along with Jan from Sales and Marketing.

Gunther De Neve joined Wunderkraut as Senior Project Manager. With his experience in managing projects he would love to contribute to the success and growth of the dynamic Wunderkraut team.

How to befriend? Ask about his lovely 2 children, 2 dogs and 2 cats … or help him to improve his golf strategy and swing.

We're searching for more talents to join Wunderkraut Belgium. Check out our vacancies and apply!
