Since his first contact with Drupal five years ago, Toon became fascinated with everything online, open-source and Drupal. Majoring in International Business, he graduated with his thesis investigating the opportunities and adoption of Online Marketing and e-Commerce by Belgian SME's (in cooperation with UNIZO). He performed various roles before becoming a Drupal Developer, from Online Marking Sales Consultant to Drupal Project Manager and Analyst. His focus shifted to programming as he discovered the joy of building computer programs.

He embarked on a journey that started with Processing, went along Assembly, C, Objective-C and Haskell, to do the majority of his programming in PHP and JavaScript. He loves the never ending quest for knowledge and skills to come up with better solutions to build better products. He believes Information Technology can be a major source of competitive advantage when done right.

Being a developer, Toon has kept his affinity with the business side. He values good communication and has an eye for processes. Toon is known for his enthusiasm, critical mind, eagerness to learn and focus on improvement. Toon lives in Antwerp and is a vegetarian. He can be found running during the sparse hours when he is not sitting behind his mac.
